 Watered down version of "Love Will Find You" August 28, 2010

I want to believe that every book, no matter how terrible, offers at least one nugget that you can take with you. In this book, I learned more about the purpose of smudging in clearing your physical space and about mandalas. I am taking both of these nuggets with me on my love journey. For this and only this reason, I'm giving this book 2 stars instead of just 1.
This book has great love stories that don't seem specific AT ALL to the work done by the author. I counted only one story of a woman who'd used Arielle Ford's system to find a soulmate but the rest were just great soulmate love stories. Anyone can compile a bunch of really great soulmate stories (as she herself did in 2001's
Hot Chocolate for the Mystical Lover: 101 True Stories of Soul Mates Brought Together by Divine Intervention) but if it doesn't relate back to the work the author is doing in some way it makes me wonder if it works.
There wee also a few iffy "feelingzations" that seemed to be a more negative approach to ridding yourself of negative past relationships. Imaginng you're blowing up an ex's car comes to mind...
I read Kathryn Alice's "Love Will Find You" and found it to be an awesome book that helped me undo my MANY years of a dating drought. After reading this book on recommendation, I found it to be nearly identical in format and technique. The only difference being that LWFY had many more instances of people meeting after doing Alice's work. Arielle Ford's only addition is more New Age approaches but is essentially the same book.
I don't discredit her work or the fact that many people probably found their soulmates by reading this book. However, there is not much new here for someone who has used a Law of Attraction based dating/mating book. I

Pattee and Alannah got me in to this. It's all their fault! You see the three of us were having a meal at an Indian restaurant in Merivale and both of them had 'the book' and were raving about it and suggested that I should get it too.
Taking the path of least resistance and after checking out prices here in New Zealand, it was actually $10 cheaper to buy it from Amazon (including freight)!
My expectation was that it would be a 'girlie' book focussed on a women's perspective and was pleasantly surprised to find many male stories and in fact it's actually a very down to earth book. There is a process about getting into the right state of mind; removing baggage and hooks from the past; knowing what qualities you seek in your soulmate and then preparing for their arrival with positive expectancy.
I had a couple of questions so asked to be Arielle's friend on FaceBook and she answered them. That impressed me a lot.
So yes I've completed the book and the Love Mandela and I'm waiting ... waiting ... waiting ... for my soulmate to appear. In the meantime it's a lot of fun looking!The Soulmate Secret: Manifest the Love of Your Life with the Law of Attraction

I read it three times and I have done all the exercises on the book.
Two weeks later I met my soulmate.
Truly revealing!!
Buy it if you are serious about changing your singlehood mode.

I was very much concerned that the book would be a juvenile essay on finding your soulmate. I appreciated very much that the emphasis was on being happy with who you are, making yourself "complete" instead of finding someone who would "complete"
you, and using your own intellect and awareness to identify the things that really matter to you instead of following the "herd". I bought copies of it for my four neices and my grandson, all of whom are currently unmarried.

This book included an excellent combination of practical and spiritual advice on finding your Soulmate. I enjoyed the "real life" examples and the suggested exercises, which I'm working through right now. It offered a positive, upbeat and hopeful perspective balanced with good, practical advice. I would recommend the book highly.
